Em associação ao SIBGRAPI'99, será realizado na Unicamp em Campinas - SP o segundo workshop brasileiro na área relativa à interação humano-computador.
O evento é um espaço para discussão, troca de informação e construção de conhecimento sobre como pessoas interagem com computadores e entre si por meio de computadores e como criar sistemas computacionais interativos que atendam a necessidades humanas. Pesquisadores, profissionais de empresa, educadores e estudantes estão convidados a explorar e contribuir para o rompimento de barreiras entre pessoas e computadores...
Programação (preliminar)
O IHC'99 incluirá sessões plenárias com os conferencistas internacionais >convidados, um tutorial em usabilidade de interfaces além da apresentação e discussão de artigos científicos, posters e mesas-redondas selecionados. Entre os convidados internacionais contaremos com a profa. Lucy Suchman, da Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, e com o Prof. Mark D. Gross da Washington University com presenças já confirmadas. O tutorial será realizado pelos professores Walter de Abreu Cybis e Marcelo Pimenta, do LabUtil -SC.

The WebNet Conference -- World Conference on the WWW and Internet is an innovative collaboration between the top international academic and corporate laboratory researchers, developers, education and business professionals, and end users.
WebNet 99 is organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) and hosted by the University of Hawaii. ICCE99 is the seventh conference of the ICCE conference series. The Conference fosters the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in education throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference theme, "New Human Abilities for the Networked Society", indicates a focus on the new education needed in the societies of the near-future that are rapidly developing in the region. New technologies including the Internet, Multimedia, communication satellites and artificial intelligence open up exciting possibilities. Educational communication and collaboration are becoming regional and even global.
At the same time the effectiveness of school and industry education must be improved, and continuing education expanded. The challenge is to find the best ways to exploit technology to enhance the creativity, collaboration, and communication that will be at the heart of the new education for the next century.

M/SET 2000-International Conference on Mathematics/Science Education and Technology is a unique conference focusing upon information technology in
learning and teaching across all educational levels and settings, including teacher education and informal education.
This annual conference serves as a forum to discuss and exchange information on the current
related to using information technology in mathematics, science, and computer science education.
M/SET 2000 will precede SITE 2000-Society for Technology and Teacher Education International Conference. This offers participants an affordable opportunity to attend two conferences in one trip. Both conferences are organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). M/SET is sponsored by the Journal of Computers in Mathematics and Science Teaching (JCMST).
You are invited to participate in this international forum which offers many opportunities to explore this field. All presentation proposals are peer-reviewed for inclusion in the conference program, proceedings book, and CD-ROM proceedings.

PROCEEDINGS:
Accepted papers will be published by AACE in the Mathematics/Science Education and Technology proceedings series. The Proceedings also are distributed on ERIC microfiche and through the AACE's Internet server. In addition, this edition will be published as a searchable electronic book on CD-ROM.
PAPER AWARDS:
All presented papers will be considered for Best Paper Awards within several categories. Award winning papers will be invited for publication consideration in the Journal of Computers in Mathematics and Science Teaching and will be highlighted in the AACE periodical Educational Technology Review.

Journal of Computers in Mathematics and Science Teaching (JCMST)
JCMST, the only periodical devoted specifically to using information technology in the teaching of mathematics and science, is a highly respected scholarly journal. This journal publishes articles focusing upon the use of computers in mathematics, science and computer science learning and teaching across the spectrum of educational settings, including teacher education and informal education.
JCMST also publishes original articles in the areas of research, classroom practice, and commentary on philosophical and theoretical issues of interest to readers. Articles on classroom practice emphasize innovations and describe methods that promote the effective use of computers in learning and teaching. Such articles discuss pedagogy, are grounded in teaching and learning theory, and include evidence of effectiveness. Classroom practices are described in sufficient detail to better ensure that they can be adapted successfully and transferred to the classroom situations of JCMST readers.

ED-MEDIA 2000-World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia & Telecommunications is an international conference, sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). ED-MEDIA, the premiere international conference in the field, spans all disciplines and levels of education and attracts more than 1,000 attendees from over 50 countries.
